Be sure to check out both the Suburban Station and Market East Station, which provide quick and easy access to shopping facilities, hotels, and most of the major businesses. If you're looking to get out of town, see the 30th Street Station, as you will be able to easily link up to an AMTRAK train and be on your way. All of the above stations also move right into the airport, so you won't have to worry about that, either.
Subways are also safe and easy ways to get around town. The Market-Frankford runs east and west, while Broad Street trains can take you north and south; both span the entire city. The usual fare is $1.50, and exact change is necessary. You might want to consider purchasing a SEPTA Day Pass, which is only $5.00 and allows unlimited access on any SEPTA vehicle and will also take you to the airport. These passes are available for purchase at the Visitors Center on John F. Kennedy Boulevard and 16th Street.
